Frequently Asked Questions
-
Are you accepting new clients?
Yes! Brianna currently is accepting new clients and has availability within 1-2 weeks for a session! Book a free 15-minute Discovery Call or contact us to learn more.
Please note that the PRO BONO program may have a waitlist due to high demand.
-
Are sessions in person or online?
All therapy sessions are online video appointments through the secure telehealth platform Jane. Online therapy appointments utilize the same evidence-based treatment methods as in-person therapy. The only difference is the location!
-
Are you covered under OHIP?
Unfortunately, psychotherapy is not covered under OHIP when performed by a social worker or psychotherapist. However, there may be some coverage available. We encourage you to check with your insurance provider, as many plans do cover therapy and counseling with a social worker. Brianna is a provider with Hamilton Victim Services (VQRP), as well as NIHB and TIHCSP for Indigenous folks. Passport funding may also be available for those enrolled in the program.

-

Yes! All of your conversations are confidential as a therapy client. There are a few legal or ethical exceptions where this may not apply, which your therapist will review with you at the beginning of your first session.
-

Yes! Brianna is a registered social worker (RSW) with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW) in Good Standing. She is also a member of the Ontario Association of Social Workers (OASW) and the Canadian Association for Social Work Education (CASWE).
