Becoming a caregiver is a life-changing event, but you don’t need to embark on this journey alone.

Caregiving is a difficult subject, because it means many different things to many different people. It can be something you do professionally or provide for a loved one. It can feel like a choice or obligation - or, at times, both of those things at once. Caregiving can be a positive act that many find empowering and a source of deeper connection, but it can also come with unique challenges that can have a negative impact on your wellbeing, such as burnout, compassion fatigue, anxiety, sadness, or hopelessness. This is a safe space dedicated to you — your experiences, emotions, thoughts, and needs. Let’s work together towards understanding this role, celebrating the wins, healing the hurts, and developing healthy coping strategies to support you as you support others.

Case Management

As a case manager, Brianna’s role is to connect you to resources in order to ensure you and/or your loved one’s needs are met. Case managers also provide support with medical appointments and medication management, applications, and navigating different organizations and programs. Case managers can act as advocates when needed and teach you the necessary skills, including your rights and assertive communication strategies.

Whether you are a new caregiver or have been in the role for several years, it is essential to proactively take care of your own health.
